Coming off of some tough financial times, unseasonably warm winters and a negative footing within its community, Mountain Creek Resort, the New York Metro area’s closest winter ski destination, enlisted BMLPR to shift its image within the region.
As a destination that you have to feel to believe, BMLPR leveraged everything the resort had to offer and built experiences for media and influencers tailored to their winter interests, projecting a positive brand halo (via earned media) where it counts – the top of the Google search.
The approach also included a business media tour with the CEO, the Largest Ski/Snowboard Lesson World Record stunt attempt, National Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month promotions, its partnership with the Special Olympics and ongoing programming.
BMLPR helped Mountain Creek net one of its busiest seasons to-date, with record-high levels of attendance, while shifting its ongoing media coverage from negative to positive.
